    The Tool for Auto-Registered Phones Support (TAPS) enables phone users to call the TAPS directory number and download the preconfigured phone settings for the user's directory number. TAPS works in conjunction with Cisco Unified Communications Manager Administration and Unified Contact Center Express. 

    This guide is in PDF format and is 37 pages long.  The lab is based on Unified Communications Manager 7.0(1) and Unified Contact Center Express 7.0.

    -          SSH to Cisco Unified Communications Manager

    -          Verify the network IP Address and connectivity to the default gateway

    -          Log into the Operating Systems GUI and verify what installed versions are on the server

    -          Ping the Voice Gateway

    -          Use the Bulk Administration Tool to BAT in 2 phones

    -          Create Phone Template

    -          Download BAT.xlt file

    -          Add the Description, Alerting name, and Display options from the Create File Format macro

    -          Export the file and upload it to CUCM (Select Transaction Type – Insert Phones – Specific Details)

    -          Verify the file

    -          Go to Job Scheduler and verify that the files had no errors

    -          And Insert the phones

    -          Then go to the back to the Scheduler and verify it ran correctly

    Activity Objective

    In this activity you configure different Call Coverage solutions. In the first part of the lab you will be creating a shared line on both phones. In the second part you configure a broadcast hunt group. 

     In one of the departments at BigCo Inc. they have a requirement of employees needing to answer a Customer Service Hotline number. The Manager of the department would like to have a second extension added the phones that that anyone can answer.   The Sales Manager wants to have the same employees’ members of a Sales Hunt Group that users can sign into and out of depending on how busy the phones are.   
     
    High Level Task

    -          Create new directory number second line on each phone

    -          Create a new Line Group

    -          Assign line 1 from each phone to the Line Group

    -          Create a Hunt List

    -          Add the Line Group to the Hunt List

    -          Create a new Hunt Pilot

    -          Assign the Hunt List to the Hunt Pilot

    -          Test

    In this activity you configure MeetMe and Ad Hoc conferencing. You will also configure a hardware conference bridge using Digital Signal Processors (DSP) on the voice gateway.

     

    High Level Task:

    -          Edit the conference Service Parameters

    -          Test Meet-Me conference call

    -          Test Ad Hoc conference Call

    -          Access the voice gateway and obtain the MAC address of the F0/0 interface
